Have you ever wanted the chance to invest in a startup company or support local youth? Now’s your chance to both.

On Wednesday, April 19 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., local middle and high school students will pitch 11 startup company ideas to a panel of business investors during the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Investor Panel Pitch Event at Bellevue City Hall Council Chambers.

These students, in the fourth year class at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, will have the chance to receive funding for their new companies through the Bellevue Chamber Foundation.

The suggested donation for event entry is $25, and a further $50 is encouraged for donating to the investor pool to help fund the budding businesses.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy takes students grades six through twelve through the process of starting and running real businesses over the course of an academic year, at the end of which the students will actually own and operate real businesses that they can continue to run for life. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy encourages students to build upon their creativity, energy, talents, and passion.
