It’s a game of musical office space as downtown Bellevue construction is completed, companies relocate to Seattle, and startups undergo hiring frenzies. Denmark-based TimeXtender is one of the latter companies, and it will trade in its Redmond address for one in Bellevue.

The company, which provides a data-storage automation software, was founded in Denmark in 2005. It opened an office in Redmond a few years ago and now is moving to downtown Bellevue to accommodate a growing headcount. The company currently has 40 employees worldwide, with 10 located in Redmond. A spokesperson said TimeXtender is planning to hire about 13 people in the Eastside office during the next few months and is planning to reach 40 employees by the end of 2016.

“The North American market is the key to our plans for hyper growth,” Heine Krog Iversen, CEO of TimeXtender, said in a statement. “We believe that by relocating our North American headquarters to Bellevue, we can support our projected growth by finding highly skilled professionals from this business region, an established, technology ecosystem.”

TimeXtender will occupy 6,000 square feet at One Bellevue Center, located at 411 108th Ave. NE. Some members of the executive management team are moving from Denmark to work in the Bellevue office as well, including Iversen.

“We’ve had a global outlook as part of our corporate culture from the very beginning and the time is now for us to capitalize on the foundation we’ve laid during the last nine years,” said Iversen.
