Bellevue-based Smartsheet today announced Mike Artnz as the company’s new senior vice president of worldwide field operations. The 30-year enterprise software veteran joins Smartsheet at a time of rapid growth for the company, following the recent appointment of Smartsheet’s first CFO, Jennifer Ceran, earlier last month.
In his new role, Arntz will be responsible for overseeing all of Smartsheet’s sales, support, and service functions, driving the accelerated adoption of Smartsheet’s enterprise-ready software for managing and automating collaborative work.
“Mike is an outstanding addition to the Smartsheet team,” Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader said in a press release. “As Smartsheet further extends its reach into the enterprise, we wanted someone with a deep understanding of the B2B technology space who can help us seize the market opportunity and drive more value for customers.”
Prior to joining Smartsheet, Artnz served as senior vice president of sales, Americas at NetSuite. Before that, he was the executive vice president of worldwide sales for Kenandy, and spent 20 years prior working in sales at Oracle
“Smartsheet has a big and growing market opportunity to go after and, as a sales leader, you can’t ask for much more than that,” said Arntz. “The market is rapidly recognizing the need for what we do, and as more enterprises look to manage collaborative work and automate processes, it’s my goal that they see Smartsheet’s platform as the obvious answer.”
In September, Smartsheet announced that the company had achieved more than 70 percent year-over-year revenue growth for its fifth consecutive year. And as of this month, the Bellevue-based company employs more than 400.
