The personalities of Pacific Northwest and Seattle metropolitan residents were captured in a variety of categories such as trending people, music artists, sports teams, and events. Starbucks and Costco placed in the top ten most searched places on Google maps.

The Super Bowl once again reached top-10 status, placing as high as second in national search results and third in Seattle.

On the national list, the Seahawks topped first place in both trending sports teams and NFL teams, while the Mariners were fifth in trending MLB teams. Seahawks players Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson placed third and eighth on the trending athletes list nationwide.

In Seattle, many searches capture ongoing local policy changes and issues. For Seattleites, the top trending how-to question was about composting while ISIS and Ebola topped the list of what residents wanted to know about.
