On July 14 the Seattle Marriott Bellevue celebrated the grand opening of its 384-room hotel in downtown Bellevue. The new Marriott is downtown Bellevue’s first full-service Marriott and is geared toward providing convenience, comfort, and sophistication for business travelers.
The general manager of the Seattle Marriott Bellevue, Rob Morgan, has been looking forward to opening on the Eastside. “We are both honored and excited to join the Bellevue community,” Morgan said in a statement. “We believe our attentive service and modern amenities – not to mention our contemporary aesthetic – will complement the neighborhood as well as offer a relevant guest experience for years to come.”
The modern and flexible layout is designed to attract business travelers, and the hotel has 17 tech-savvy meeting rooms that Morgan hopes will help make the hotel an important venue for prominent Eastside businesses such as Microsoft, The Meydenbauer Center and the University of Washington. Along with meeting rooms, the hotel constructed a 21,000 square feet tech-friendly event space and all rooms have free high-speed Wi-Fi access and a 55-inch LCD television.
The Meydenbauer Center is thrilled with the addition of the new hotel and the increased attractiveness of Bellevue as a convention city says Director of Sales Jane Kantor.
“This new property expands Bellevue’s robust portfolio for convention and meeting business,” Kantor said. “The hotel’s close proximity to the Center will allow conventions to consider Meydenbauer for the larger components of their meetings and use the Marriott for breakout space and, of course, accommodations.”
The Seattle Marriott Bellevue includes restaurant, Amuse Restaurant & Bar, where visitors can expect a menu showcasing fresh Northwest ingredients using the farm-to-table approach. Guest also have access to upscale M Club Concierge Lounge, fitness center, and indoor pool.
