One of the more popular golf courses in Washington for business travelers, Gamble Sands in Brewster, recently announced it is adding a 14-hole, par-3 course called Quicksands that is expected to open for public play in spring 2021.
The course, built on 25 acres and designed by David McLay Kidd, will feature holes ranging from 70-135 yards.
“Wide turf areas will allow for ever-changing tee areas, creating flexibility in how the course is set up on a day-to-day basis and how golfers play it from one day to the next,” reads the Eastern Washington resort’s website. “With its collection of short holes, golfers will be encouraged to grab a ‘clutch of clubs’ and go have fun.
The new short course will feature several cutting-edge aspects, including a music system featuring in-ground speakers.
