The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) and Overlake Medical Center & Clinics have announced a partnership that will bring cutting-edge cancer care to the Bellevue hospital.

The affiliation will be called SCCA at Overlake Medical Center and will begin serving patients July 1. Services will be provided at the state-of-the-art Overlake Cancer Center on the Overlake campus in Bellevue.

“A central part of our mission is to ensure people have access to the best cancer treatments as close to their community and loved ones as possible,” said Dr. Nancy Davidson, executive director and president of SCCA. “We are excited to combine SCCA’s world-class cancer program with the outstanding cancer care environment at Overlake to provide patients on the Eastside with the most advanced cancer care treatments provided by the best specialists.”

The partnership will bring SCCA’s hematology-medical oncology and infusion services to Overlake’s patients, and while Overlake will continue to provide such services as radiation oncology, surgical oncology, inpatient oncology care, and ancillary services such as imaging and physical therapy.

“Overlake is committed to innovating and collaborating with community partners in ways that advance the care we provide to the Eastside,” said Overlake President and CEO J. Michael Marsh. “This affiliation is founded on the shared values and care philosophies of the two organizations.”

SCCA is Washington’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center and works with the leading research teams and cancer specialists from Fred Hutch, Seattle Children’s, and UW Medicine.
