Situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Talking Rain has been making beverages that people embrace, trust, and enjoy in the Seattle area for more than three decades. Founded in 1987 with five employees, Talking Rain introduced the Sparkling Ice brand in 1992, and the company has since grown to a team of 412 employees, 212 of whom call Washington home. The Sparkling Ice brand took off in 2011, and within five years, the brand had a sales growth of 5,900 percent. Distributed nationwide and internationally. Sparkling Ice has a booming global presence.

Inside the office, Talking Rain is committed to building and maintaining a successful company culture. With a focus on collaboration and mentoring, Talking Rain provides growth opportunities for employees and promotes from within, while building the company’s next leaders through self-leadership classes. Furthermore, and keeping in line with Talking Rain’s product offerings, the company also prides itself on being health-conscious. On any given day, you can find Talking Rain employees walking on the Preston–Snoqualmie Trail during lunch, or participating in its Talking Fit program, where the company arranges for personal trainers to host in-office exercise classes on a regular basis. Weekly snack deliveries also are a company favorite; each week has a different theme dedicated to various health initiatives taking place around the office.

“I loved working here so much that I came back,” said Sarah Gustat, director of marketing. “The people and company culture are what really make this company stand apart from other companies that I’ve worked for in the past.”

Talking Rain also is committed to making a difference in the communities it serves and has partnered with organizations such as Seattle Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the Honor Flight Network.
