Rumors have been circling about a big retailer opening a store at the Bellevue Collection’s new Lincoln Square Expansion across the street from Bellevue Square. We can now lay those rumors to rest. Nordstrom Rack will open an approximately 43,000-square-foot store in the new space in fall of 2017.

The Nordstrom Rack will be part of the Lincoln Square Expansion that will also include office, retail, dining and entertainment space. Plus, the W Hotel and 218 luxury high-rise rental residences.

“We know many of our best Rack stores are those near our full line locations, and we’ve long been looking for the right space near Nordstrom Bellevue Square,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited to deliver great brands at great Rack prices when we open our doors at Lincoln Square.”

The new Nordstrom Rack will be the company’s eighth location in Western Washington. Nordstrom has long been a client of The Bellevue Collection. The company first opened a store in Bellevue Square in 1958.

“We have long felt that expanding Nordstrom’s presence at The Collection would be synergistic for all our retail and restaurant offerings and are delighted that with the expansion of Lincoln Square, we were able to find this location for Nordstrom Rack,” says Kemper Freeman, CEO and chairman of the board, Kemper Development Company in a statement.
