Developers have set their sights on Bothell for a new housing development. Kirkland-based MainStreet Property Group recently announced construction on The Landing, a for-sale townhome project in Bothell’s most sought-after downtown neighborhood.

The project will consist of 12 buildings with 58 total units. Buildings will each have three floors, and floor plans will include two, three, and four-bedroom units.

Located at 18406 96th Avenue NE, residents will be just blocks away from McMenamins Anderson School, Pop Keeney Stadium, multiple healthcare facilities, and several other popular dining and retail establishments.

The development is part of the City of Bothell’s Downtown Revitalization Plan, which began in 2006 and aims to create more downtown housing and improve the city’s already beloved Main Street. According to the city’s website, the ultimate vision for the plan is to establish “a fully integrated and pedestrian-friendly downtown that respects the City’s heritage and create a destination and gathering place for area residents, employees and visitors.”

MainStreet Property Group President Kelly Price said in a statement that The Landing in Bothell represents a slight shift from the company’s previous focus on commercial multifamily and mixed-use developments.

“We are excited about launching The Landing, which has been in the works for a while now and shows our diverse capabilities as a developer which now includes for-sale homes,” Price said.  “We’ve been able to bring elements of our commercial development expertise into the single-family arena at The Landing and believe our customers will appreciate the new standards we are setting with our level of quality, finishes and design that is included with every home.”

The first building at The Landing is planned for completion by summer 2018. In early summer, a model home and sales center should also be ready to entice potential buyers.
