Kitsap Bank, which has a loan office in Bellevue, has revealed its finalists for this year’s edge3 Fund Small Business Competition. The five finalists will move on to compete in the last phase of the competition, edge3 Fund Live, in November for a final shot at the grand prize: $20,000.
The competition, now in its third year, recognizes area small businesses that have unique, creative, and innovative ideas. The winning business will be awarded with $20,000 to use toward furthering its dedication to growing the community economically, socially, and environmentally.
“We were very impressed with the caliber of businesses represented in our semifinalist grouping, and their commitment to bettering their communities is truly inspirational,” said Tony George, Kitsap Bank president and COO.
Judges for this year’s competition include David Giuliani, co-founder of both Redmond-based Clairisonic and Sonicare.
New for 2016, Kitsap Bank has introduced an additional $5,000 cash prize, the Community edge3 Award, which will be given to a business from the pool of semifinalists that the judges best feel embodies the spirit of community. The Community edge3 Award also will be presented during the edge3 Fund Live event.
The public is invited to attend the edge3 Fund Live event on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at Kitsap Conference Center at Harborside in Bremerton. Tickets are on sale now and available online.
