The second annual Kirkland Investor Sharks, a “Shark Tank”-style event that connects top investors with local startups, will return to the Eastside on Nov. 1.

The event is put on by the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and Kirkland Performance Center.

“We are thrilled to co-host an event with Kirkland Performance Center that allows startup companies a chance to connect with some of the most highly regarded investors in the Pacific Northwest, and introduce the wider community to the incredible innovation that we have happening in our region,” Samantha St. John, executive director of the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement.

At the event, startup founders will be given the opportunity to pitch to a panel of Pacific Northwest venture capitalists and Angel investors including top names like Greg Gottesman, co-founder of Pioneer Square Labs; Gregg Bennett, vice-chair of the Seattle Alliance of Angels; and Todd Dean, CEO of Sanjara Wellness. The panel will be moderated by Jeff Peterson, GoDaddy’s vice president of marketing.

The four companies chosen to present at the event are PupPod, the creator of a high-tech, interactive, multi-level puzzle game for dogs; Fanwide, a service that helps sports fans find watch parties for their favorite teams’ games; RealPeek, an investment and analytics platform for investors in real estate; and NEOH USA, the maker of a healthy, Keto diet-friendly chocolate bar that contains just 90 calories, a gram of sugar and 2 grams of net carbs.

“Kirkland Investor Sharks is designed to keep the focus on business while still putting forth an entertaining event that anyone can enjoy,” said David Bander, Kirkland Performance Center’s managing director.

General admission tickets cost $35 and include a reception at 6 p.m. and the show, which starts at 7 p.m. A portion of each ticket sold goes into a scholarship pool that will buy tickets for 150 local high school and college students. (Students can register using the promo code SHARK!)
