Issaquah businesses have until noon on Wednesday, Aug. 19 to apply for new City-administered grants supporting business innovation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Issaquah launched the new Issaquah Business Recovery & Reinvention Grant program and will offer grants between $2,500 and $10,000 to qualifying businesses. Partial grants also may be awarded.

“If your business has made an impactful change in your business model, adopted new technologies or practices, or have otherwise innovated or reinvented your business to cope with the novel economic or public health requirements and challenges during the COVID-19 crisis, you can apply,” according to an explanation of the program on the City’s website.

The City is trying to learn about and share good practices that people have done to pivot and survive during the pandemic, said Jen Davis Hayes, the City’s economic development manager.

The grant program’s website notes grant recipients will be asked to share experiences and lessons learned with the wider Issaquah business community.
