The Renton Chamber and Seattle Southside Chamber are holding the first-ever Economic Equity Summit on Feb. 28 to find solutions to create more economic equity in the region.
The collaborative event — to be held in Renton at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport from 7 to 11 a.m. — with bring together regional business leaders, policymakers, and community members to help find solutions.
During the event, industry leaders and subject matter experts will gather as judges to hear proposals from the community. Those proposals will be judged and then revealed to the public at the Economic Equity Summit.
Guest speakers include, but are not limited to, Bookda Gheisar of the Port of Seattle, John Mosby of Highline College, and King County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove.
