Rev your engines — Italian motorcycle company Ducati is opening a store at Redmond Town Center this weekend. Ducati leaders are excited about the move, a relocation from 2040 152nd Ave NE near Crossroads Bellevue, and look forward to establishing a presence in Redmond.
“The Redmond area is known for innovation, as well as people who are passionate about technological advancement. But it’s also an area with an energy about outdoor recreation and having fulfilling hobbies outside of the office,” said Jason Chinnock, CEO of Ducati North America. “By opening a store in Redmond, and particularly in the lifestyle-oriented Redmond Town Center, we’re going to be able to serve our current Ducati communities in addition to new audiences who may not be as familiar with the brand. It’s an exciting time for Ducati in the Seattle area.”
The company, celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, expects the move to further its stronghold in the Pacific Northwest, a market where it thrives. “The Pacific Northwest is one of the largest motorcycle markets for the Ducati brand,” said Chinnock. The product resonates with these riders who have very specific needs in terms of style, performance, and safety. In fact, the elements play a large role in people’s purchase decisions and the conditions create a real-world proving ground.”
Ducati Redmond will celebrate its grand opening from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday with food, drinks, and a visit from Blitz of the Seattle Seahawks.
“With our Italian heritage that means there’s always a welcoming face in our dealerships, inviting newcomers to join our family. Not only will we have our full product lineup on display on Saturday, but we’ll also roll out our characteristic hospitality, with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a chance to check out what Ducati has to offer,” said Chinnock.
Regular hours for the dealership, located across from BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, will be from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. In addition to luxury bikes, Ducati Redmond also features a line of apparel and accessories, as well as maintenance and upgrade services for current Ducati owners.
