Issaquah-headquartered retail giant Costco Wholesale Corporation has announced its fourth quarter and fiscal year results 2014, ending Aug. 31.

The company reported net sales of $34.75 billion for the fourth quarter, which is an increase of 9 percent over 2013.

Net sales for the fiscal year also increased. The company reported $110.21 billion, which is a 7 percent increase from $102.87 billion in fiscal year 2013.

The company’s stock opened trading at $128.73 per share. The price took a short dip to $127.16 following the fiscal announcement, but the stock rebounded and closed at $128.73.

The first Costco warehouse opened for business in 1983 in Seattle. Costco now is operating 664 warehouses, with plans to open eight new stores before the end of 2014. The company was Washington’s largest public company in 2013, with more than $105 billion in sales.
