Eastside-based BitTitan this week announced it’s moving its headquarters from Kirkland to One Twelfth at Twelfth in Bellevue.
The company, which helps businesses sell, onboard, and manage new and existing cloud services, said the move comes directly as a result of its new and rapid growth. Last year, BitTitan set a goal to double its workforce by the end of 2017. Currently, the company employees 215 people worldwide and has plans to add 50 to 75 more employees to its workforce by the end of next year.
The company, which started in 2007 in CEO Geeman Yip’s Kirkland garage, has outgrown its current space. After looking at offices in Seattle and across the Eastside, BitTitan decided to stay rooted on the Eastside, planting itself at One Twelfth at Twelfth for its central Bellevue location and amenities.
In an effort to create a world-class work environment, BitTitan is also planning on a multi-million-dollar renovation that will completely transform the space. Upon completion of the project, BitTitan will take up the entire second and third floors of the six-story building.
Specific details regarding the renovation have not yet been disclosed, but a BitTitan spokesperson said it will be reminiscent of the dot-com glory days. It is rumored the 62,000-square-foot space could house a yoga studio, basketball court, film studio, keg stand, more than 10 ping-pong and foosball tables, and desk hammocks, in addition to 40 conference rooms and an on-site gym.
“I founded BitTitan nine years ago because I wanted to create a unique company and be surrounded by the smartest, most passionate people I could find,” Yip said. “The environment here is reminiscent of the dot-com days — we all work hard and have fun doing it. Regardless of location, what makes this company great is its people. New digs won’t change that. Nevertheless, we are really excited those new digs will be in Bellevue!”
BitTitan’s move to Bellevue will follow completion of the One Twelfth at Twelfth renovation, likely sometime next spring.
