If you’ve ever gotten a prize from your Kellogg’s cereal box, received a bobble head doll from a baseball game, or a battery charger from a business colleague, you’ve likely been exposed to merchandise agency Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, or BDA for short.

Recently, the Woodinville-based branded merchandise company announced it had acquired SwervePoint, a Boston-based promotional merchandise firm, in order to expand its operations in the Boston market while strengthening its industry foothold on the East Coast.

“Over the last decade, SwervePoint has established itself as an industry innovator focused on amazing customer service,” said Jay Deutsch, co-founder and CEO of BDA. “Early on, we identified them as a potential acquisition partner due to business acumen and their client-first partnership philosophy that aligns perfectly with BDA. This acquisition provides us the opportunity to continue our growth trajectory while integrating additional resources to better support our East Coast clients.”

This acquisition makes the Boston area the largest East Coast office presence for BDA, bolstering its existing partnership with baseball icon, the Boston Red Sox.

In order to provide a seamless transition for existing SwervePoint customers, its co-founders Jamie Mair and Kevin Phoenix will stay on with the BDA team. “This is the perfect fit at the perfect time,” Mair said. “Joining BDA allows us to expand our relevance within our existing clients, while now being able to offer BDA’s gold-standard capabilities. Kevin, myself and our entire team are very excited and honored to become part of the BDA family.”
