Alaska Airlines’ flights out of Everett’s new Paine Field passenger terminal will begin on Feb. 11, 2019, the airline announced today.
Tickets are now on sale for up to 18 total daily flights to multiple cities including Las Vegas, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose.
“We’re tremendously honored to be a part of this historic moment with the opening of a brand new commercial airport,” said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines’ chief commercial officer.
“We’re so proud of our team for all of their hard work and dedication at Paine Field to get ready to fly our guests to great places throughout the West,” added Gary Beck, Horizon Air president and CEO.
For the first two days of ticket sales, Alaska is offering one-way fares for as little as $39.
The aircraft Alaska will operate on flights out of Paine Field is the E175, which has a three-class cabin and no middle seats. Snacks, drinks, and on-flight movies and TV shows will be offered.
“Alaska Airlines flew from Paine Field back in the 1940s and 50s. We’re excited to have the airline return to Everett,” said Brett Smith, chief executive officer of Propeller Airports, the company which built the new, state-of-the-art terminal.
