New retailers will be joining the Bellevue Collection this summer. Most of the new stores will occupy the South Commons area of the mall where JCPenney used to be. Here’s the scoop on what’s coming and when.
Athleta – Opening late summer 2016, next to UNIQLO on level 2 of the South Commons
As athletic wear continues to grow into a casual dress phenomenon, demand for more beloved stretchy yoga pants are at a high. Athleta sells just that, and then some. They have yoga clothing, swimwear, running wear, and other athletic clothing for women. Plus, dresses and blouses. Athleta is an arm of Gap Inc, which owns Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy.
MINI Cooper – Opening summer 2016, on level 1 of South Commons
MINI Cooper’s only Eastside satellite showroom, MINI at Bellevue Square, will be opening soon. There, guests can check out the newest mini models and test drive them at the MINI Wedge in The Lodge parking garage across from Crate and Barrel.
365 by Whole Foods Market – Opening early fall 2016, below Zara on bottom level of South Commons
Last summer Whole Foods announced that Bellevue would be one of the first locations to have a 365 by Whole Foods Market. The store will have lower-priced natural and organic products. The smaller store concept of Whole Foods will offer groceries and other yummy snacks. “Our earliest roots of Bellevue Square’s history featured a very successful grocery component and we are excited to once again have this opportunity for our guests,” Kemper Freeman, chairman and CEO, Kemper Development Company, said in a statement.
Lolli and Pops – Opening early summer 2016, near South Commons
If there’s such a thing as swanky candy, Lolli and Pops offers it. The boutique candy store sells truffles, and signature chocolate bars. Their sweets come from all over the world: chocolate from Madagascar, sour belts from Spain, and sodas from Japan. You get the picture. Also, Ben and Jerry’s, which will open this month, is right next door!
