ACEC Washington announced recently bridge expert Semyon Treyger as the 2021 Engineer of the Year.
As a professional and structural engineer, Treyger has spent over 40 years with HNTB, a national infrastructure company. His work on notable bridge projects, such as the Tilikum Crossing in Portland, have received acclaim nationwide.
HNTB principal engineer Michael Jones described his colleague in a press release as someone who “influences decisions on [major] projects with humility and a collaborating demeanor that is a pure pleasure to work with. He is truly the epitome of the Engineer’s Engineer and a model for ethically practicing one’s profession.”
The 54th annual Engineer Excellence Awards at which Treyger was recognized was hosted virtually last week by the American Council of Engineering Companies Washington.
