With the new year comes new business. As the Eastside continues to grow so does its retail market. Here are a few openings to expect in 2016.

Ted Baker, Bellevue Square- the London-based company is setting up shop for Eastside blokes. Polished and proper, Ted Baker is the epitome of English tailored simplicity.  The opening date is unknown.

Ezell’s Famous Chicken, Evergreen Plaza in Bellevue – Okay, we’re cheating a little since it opened on Dec. 29, 2015 but if you love buttery fried chicken, break your healthy New Year’s resolution for a stop at Ezell’s.

The Meyden apartments in Bellevue – In early December Bellevue.com announced that The Meyden, an apartment building with smaller studios as well as expansive two bedroom/two bathroom units will open in mid-February (they’ve already begun leasing units).  The Meyden will also have retail space with the following shops and restaurants:

  1. A Chinese restaurant by Paul Choi
  2. Whisk – a kitchen store that will offer cooking classes
  3. Belle Pastry
  4. Green Lake Jewelry
  5. Bellevue Barbershop
  6. CVS Pharmacy

Fika House Kafe in Bellevue– Ready for a local dose of caffeine? Fika House Kafe will be serving up specialty coffee in 2016. Plus, house-made waffles, coffee cocktails and wine. It will open in March in the Soma Towers in downtown Bellevue.

Din Tai Fung at Westfield Southcenter – Bring on the dumplings! Din Tai Fung will open its largest location in the region in December. Noodles, soups, and slurps oh my!

Eddie Bauer at Westfield Southcenter – The outdoors clothing line will open a 3,855 square foot space at the mall in April.
