Several generous families partnered with the EvergreenHealth Foundation and raised more than $344,000 for facility renovations and to build a new playground for younger visitors. Six plaques will hang in the new facility thanking the individuals for their generosity.

“These generous donations not only allow EvergreenHealth to perform necessary maintenance upgrades, but they also help to fund the training that our wonderful hospice volunteers receive, and provide support for our grief and bereavement service program that offers complimentary support to families and individuals grieving a loss,” said CEO Bob Malte.

The EvergreenHealth Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center in Kirkland recently celebrated 25 years of service.
