You’ve forgotten about a meeting with a client and realize it after the meeting would have ended. What should you do?

Call the client right away and apologize. If the client seems understanding then ask if you can reschedule. However, if the client seems very angry, let her vent and let her know you understand her anger. Ask her if she’ll give you another chance and reschedule. In either case, follow up by sending a handwritten note of apology.
